5 Everyday Yoga Poses
Deep down, I’m sure most of us want to exercise daily and stay fit. In today’s world, our busy and hectic lifestyles don’t give us ample time or motivation to maintain our health. Yoga is an easy and the most effective way to stay healthy. Here are five basic Yoga poses or Yoga asanas which you can easily practice daily for good health:
1. Shavasana (Corspe pose)
Shavasana means to lie like a corpse, by trying to put all your weight on the ground and lying like a lifeless corspe. This is extremely beneficial for relaxation and meditation.
2. Bhujangasana (Cobra pose)
Lie on your stomach, keep each of your palm on the respective sides of your chest, inhale slowly and lift your head, chest and abdomen from the ground, by applying pressure on your hands. After a minute or two, exhale slowly and come back to the starting position touching your forehead on the ground.
3. Balasana (Child pose)
In Balasana, the body faces the floor in foetal position. Lie flat on your stomach, slowly inhale and life your body up using your hands and move back until your feet touch your buttocks. It is beneficial for headaches and backaches. Make sure that your forehead touches the ground in this one.
4. Thrikonasana (Triangle pose)
Stand straight with your legs 2 feet apart. Turn the right foot to the right side, bring your left hand up close to the ear, and bend towards the right side. This stretches your body’s left side. Repeat for the other side. Thrikonasana is known to improve your flexibility and strengthens your back and torso.
5. Uttanasana (Forward Bending pose)
Stand straight with your feet parallel to your hips. Fold forward slowly while exhaling. Allow your to come forward too and try to catch hold of your ankles while doing so. This asana is beneficial for the nervous system.
Finally, yoga is not just about the asanas or poses. It is about living a simple life with a balanced diet, maintaining an emotional balance and getting good sleep.
